Religion!
The official religion of Zambia is Christian, but many others are practiced. About 5% of the population is Muslim. Most of the Muslims live in the urban areas of Zambia. Also, some people in Zambia are Jewish.
Language!
The official language of Zambia is English. The reason why is because it helps the people there with buisness and the chrildren there learn English in school, for when they grow up.
Shoebill Stork
The Shoebill Stork is one of the many animals that is endangered. There is only 5,000 to 8,000 of these birds left in Africa. They are so endangered is because of hunting and bird trading, also because of people invading where they live. They normally are found near swamps.
Hippoptamus
In many waterways in Zambia if you look in the right area you can fine more then 60 hippos in one spot! They are vegatarians, they feed mostly at night and then during the day they stay in the water. They normally eat grass, but also sometimes you will find them eating fruit or flowers off of a sausage tree. You mainly find hippos in the rain forest of Zambia or some Rivers/ Lakes.
My country is Zambia. The first topic that I will be talking about is Culture. The capital of Zambia is Lusaka. In the 18th century Zambia was taken over or claimed by Britiain. Today in Zambia most people are living in poverty and dieing of diseases. One disease that most poeple are affected by is HIV. Today in Zambia 10% of all adults are tested as HIV positive. The economy is based on Copper. Copper is one of Zambias top resources.
This is a picture of the Blue Lagoon National Park. This is a small park, north of the Kafue Flats and west of the capital. It is known for its bird life and lodges.
Some of Zambias inland lakes are Lake Bangweulu, Mweru and Tanganyika.
Some of its highest points are located in the northeast of the country. Some of these landforms are the Mabala Highlands and the Mafingo Mountains.
